Inflammation:

Many Diseases, One Fire

A silhouette of a human body with red flames pointing to various health conditions and diseases, illustrating that different diseases are interconnected.

Many diseases all driven by inflammation.

What drive the inflammation? rs5522

It’s Fluid! Not Fat. Obesity Explained

A detailed diagram of cellular immune response illustrating macrophage engulfing a pathogen, releasing inflammatory cytokines, and interactions with other immune cells.

What You’re Seeing:

  1. The golden ball is a fat cell but it’s not fat from eating too much. It’s trapped.

  2. The purple ring around it is inflammatory gel which forms when your blood vessels leak fluid that can’t drain away.

  3. The red dots are inflammation signals showing your immune system trying to fix the problem but making it worse.

  4. The purple cells at the bottom are immune cells that got stuck trying to clean up the mess.

What causes this: A genetic variant (rs5522) makes your blood vessels leak. Fluid builds up as gel. This is what looks like “obesity” but it’s actually water that can’t drain.

The fix: Medicine that stops the leak (spironolactone or eplerenone). Then your body can finally drain the fluid.
